Care Instructions
Jesmonite home decor
Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry thoroughly. Never submerge a piece in water and never put it in the dishwasher. Keep it away from harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners and direct heat, and store it indoors and out of direct sunlight so the color stays true. Handle with care, as cast stone chips if it is knocked or dropped.
If your piece holds a candle, use a tealight in a metal cup and put the flame out when roughly five millimeters of wax remains. The material is heat resistant, but it is not fireproof.
Polymer clay
Wipe gently with a soft cloth or a cotton swab, barely damp, with a drop of mild soap. Pat dry straight away with a lint free cloth rather than leaving it to air dry, which leaves water spots. Never use rubbing alcohol, acetone or nail varnish remover, as these dissolve the surface. Keep away from heat, and never place a polymer clay piece in an oven or a microwave. These are for dry decorative items only, such as rings, keys and paperclips.
Paint your own kits
Your figurines arrive raw and unsealed, ready to paint. Let them sit somewhere dry for a day if they have travelled in the cold. Acrylic paint goes straight on with no primer needed. Once you are happy with your design and it is fully dry, a coat of clear acrylic sealer will protect it. Finished pieces are decorative and are not water resistant unless you seal them.
For everything we make
All of our pieces are decorative. None of them are food safe and none should be used for serving. Some items contain small parts and are not suitable for young children.
